Origami Wolves

Taking a break from the recipes, I have a fun origami project that I learned in Alaska. Tip: Make sure that your paper is completely square. You can also use origami paper if you have it.

Step 1 Take your paper and fold it into a large triangle. It should match the picture.
Step 2 Move the bottom right corner over to the left, making a smaller triangle.

Step 3 Find the flap on one side of the triangle and fold it to match the picture.

Step 4 Then flip it over so it looks like Step 2. Now repeat Step 3 to make it look like the picture labeled #2.
                                                                  #2
Step 5 Put your paper down in a right angle, the side with flaps on the right. Fold the right side into the center and spread out the flaps.

Step 6 Carefully grab the center flap and push down and crease it. It should now look like a snout, with the other flaps like ears. Adjust the other flaps on the bottom like legs an a tail. Check the picture to see what it should look like. If it is good, you’re done!

Tip: You can use a pen to draw in eyes, inside of ears, and a mouth.

Broccoli Piled High

Trim florets off of the broccoli. Peel the stems and slice them diagonally. Heat one tablespoon olive oil in a large saucepan over high heat. Cook stems without stirring for two minutes. Add florets and cook without stirring two minutes. Stir together two tablespoons of water, a pinch of salt and a grind of pepper. Pour onto broccoli. Put lid on. Cook two minutes. Remove lid. Cook until pan is dry. Serve hot.
